NGFS Note on the economic and financial impacts of extreme weather events

The NGFS has been invited by the French G7 presidency to prepare a report analysing the macroeconomic and financial impacts of extreme weather events, their transmission channels and international spillovers. This note builds on a cross-economy compilation of 31 covering events between 2015 and 2025, complemented by existing literature. It seeks to complement previous G7 and G20 reports on extreme weather events.
